Talking about technology!

What happens when you don't look at the setup guide in detail? You connect both ports on both adapters and DDOS your router even shutting down wifi. Then spend an hour+ trying different cables, plugs, and other troubleshooting. 😮‍💨🤣👏 The adapter to the switch/router should only have one cable. #tplink
I attended the Vintage Computer Festival Midwest 2025 in Schaumburg Illinois. An event filled with classic computers, retro gaming, and general nostalgia for technology! My main focus was photography, but made this video from GoPro footage for the TECH channel. youtu.be/bpdK71sCz6I #VCFMidwest

Pano-Mounts sent me a revised version of their PPTM7950 phase change thermal pads in the 40x40mm size. It happened out of the blue, but it seemed worth trying out the new material to see how they changed the design! #PhaseChange #Computers #PCBuild #CPU #Heatsink

In this video I try out a simple 1080p USB webcam with Open Broadcasting Software (OBS) to see how it works as a potential replacement for my top-down camera that can only do autoexposure. Is this a better option, or should I stick with the C-mount UVC camera? #JLAB #webcam

In this video I talk about my latest Operating System SSD and compare it to older drives I have on hand that I use in the same PC build. From my previous OS drive to a unique Highpoint 4x NVMe RAID PCIe expansion card as well as a traditional SATA SSD. (re-upload due to error)
My first computer I got as a hand-me-down could be getting another revival of sorts! The rights were acquired by legit enthusiasts of the brand. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke-A...

I have a bunch of these fire resistant bags to store the multitude of camera batteries, old laptop batteries, and other devices with non-replaceable batteries as an added precaution. How much of a benefit is there? I hope I never have to know first hand! haha. #YouTube #tech

I bought this 2-pack of 1-foot Devinal 1/4" to 3.5mm female headphone extension cable TRS adapters because I was tired of the widely available, yet finicky, short adapters I use with a USB Motu M2 audio interface. #YouTube #AudioAccessories

I vaguely remember the CPU waterblock came from "Danger Den". Things have changed a lot with pre-built AIOs which is cool to see, but I usually don't treat my main PCs as a hobby once they are built, so I've never had the desire to have liquid coolers in my computers since then.

I haven't used watercooling since the first time I tried it back in the Althlon XP era. At the time, most of the components could only be bought at home stores, pet shops, and automotive stores.

With how expensive computers can be, it's fun trying to repurpose lower cost used equipment or whatever you have on-hand. In this case I've been taking out the battery of old laptops I have so they are safer to use long term when attached to AC power. Let's explore the idea!
