One from the late summer. Glad it's gone. Taken with a Mamiya 7, 43mm and Gold.
The side of a warehouse in Birmingham, Ala. on a hot day. The walls are beige stone. The doores are brown and a vent matches the color of the walls.

I'm taking a trip at Christmas and I decided to take an auto focus 35mm so my vote is the EOS for lots of snapping and not too much thinking.

Back in the Southland. Not enough time up north. Only shot two rolls. My area wasn't ready for its peak. But, the "junk" Maxxum 5 was here when I got back and it works.

Getting in that golden hour.

I like it surprisingly well. Took a gamble, but it us quite nice.

That's right. I almost got the Leofoto G2 with a leveling base for the same reason.

Out and about this evening in Northern Michigan with the H1.

So, first day with it in the wild. It is smooth, holds the camera well. It's not as awkward as it seems. My only complaint so far is with it banging around on the bag is the lever for the ball can loosen. It's fine when tightened, but easy to come undone. Will look to see how to tighten the tension.

After all that prep, I decided to leave the Arca at home. Heavy bag, 3:45 a.m. wake up and long weekend made me decide to simplify and pack the H1.

Long story, but upgrade, fancy hotel, etc. etc. Bathroom bigger than every other room I've ever stayed.
Very large bathroom at super fancy hotel. Big tub on the right. Two sinks. Shower. Beige.

Was this a trip over to Jekyll?

While organizing some files, I came across this which would have been at the beginning of my film journey - and also the beginning of my recovery - closer to 11 years than 10 now. It was a damn fine way to fill idle hours when I was counting every one of them.

It really does. Used to be a go-to before the price hikes. But, I'll be going north to get some real color.

Got this today. It has been years since I got a pro pack of this stuff. Ready for the fall leaves!

Not sure what they're up to. I think the pension fund sold it last year to a VC firm.

I don't quite understand this part of their statement from today. Are they going around Alaris? Does creating a sub-brand allow them to do that?

Joseph Cotten, Edward G. Robinson, Dick Van Patten, Brock Peters, Chuck Heston. Soylent Green cast was packed. (I'm sick and watching movies.)

Finally! I got three rolls out of cameras this weekend. Woohoo!

Keep getting served this ad. If I used it with Porta 400 what would happen? Would I explode in a pastel goo?
Ad for Cinegold, a screw-on filter that promises to make digital pictures look like Porta 400.

Out here this morning with the cleanup crews on Broadway in Nashville with the Maxxum 7 and some Ferrania.
