trying to use perlin noise for the grass layers instead of randomly placing textures ..... .. but i think it kinda looks weird. idk

combining perlin and voronoi noise .. probably need to tweak the values a little bit but i don't really have the time to sit here and do that today..

spent my time after work today writing 200+ lines of code for the game's resources system ,

it's taken a lot of invisible backend work to get up to this point , BUT!! u can now place different types of buildings!!

there's also a bit of a statemachine thing going on now meaning u are no longer always placing buildings .. huge progress!!

i've updated the camera movement to be a little more typical of the rts genre, as opposed to literally just being the godot editor camera movement remade.

needs a little more fine tuning, but overall is feeling pretty good to use

the new version of godot added .uid files to handle metadata, but i didn't like how it added extra files to my project so i spent an HOUR trying to figure out how to configure neovim to hide them .. but the project is a lot cleaner now

you can now place larger buildings (big squares!!)

they correctly ensure there are no other buildings where you're trying to place them, and also the selection box shows this by changing color

HUGE square progress !!
