In vivid/stasis 5.5.0, three songs from fellow SHW-published rhythm game NEODITRONIX arrive in vivid/stasis!
Included in these are two songs from the game, and an all-new collaboration original, "for.loop" by log() vs. A-Saph!
This update releases on January 27th, 2026.

In vivid/stasis 5.5.0, the difficulty scale is being re-adjusted from 1-17 to 1-16.
This isn't a decision I chose to make lightly, and I know that this will upset some people, but there are a few reasons for why this is being done.

Misdecayed's demo is getting an update in 2026!
This update doesn't add much in the way of new content, but it does upgrade the RPG Maker engine version from VX Ace to MV.
This means we'll have more modern support for the game, including the possibility of native Mac OSX / Linux ports.

Nothing beats an extended collaboration with a fellow indie rhythm game!
In addition to BEATROCK (get it?), which is available right now in vivid/stasis, two new songs from Beatblock, "Novena" and "Era Chimaera", will arrive in the game in version 5.5, coming on January 27th, 2026!

At the end of Final Rush Party lies the epilogue song to vivid/stasis' main story, STARCRASHERS.
It will be obtainable from the Song Shop after all other shop songs have been purchased, STARGAZERS is unlocked, and the game's ending has been reached.

In vivid/stasis 5.4.0, the hidden "Void" Soundscan map receives an overhaul; it now allows you to pick any song and Soundscan Challenge combination endlessly.
(For some of you, this is how you're finding out the hidden Void map exists and has existed for a while...)

New to vivid/stasis 5.4.0, along with the changes to the Rating system, you can now create a handy image summarizing all of the scores that contribute to your rating that can be shared easily on chat services or social media.
No more need to take three different screenshots!

In vivid/stasis 5.4.0, the new "EXGRADE" system is introduced; alongside your existing grade for your score, you'll be given a grade based on your EX Score on a play. Your 10 best EXGRADEs will now factor into your total player rating!
(EXGRADEs will not be applied retroactively.)
