While I get that; as an adult, I'd like to be able to play them without steam rolling because I understand the mechanics. I understand there's always the PVP scene, I'd like to just play "Pokemon but more difficult". I'm not complaining about it being for kids, if it has to be one choose that.

Every time a new pokemon game comes out there is a flood of articles from folks angry that the "my first rpg" game doesn't acknowledge that the writer grew up, and should still be the main audience of the game despite not being 8 anymore, and fuck the kids who *are* 8 coming to this for the 1st time

How much crossover is there in those lists though? I get the decks are expensive in a vacuum but, for example, a lot of the cost in the two Mono-Red aggro decks is Screaming Nemesis, which both decks run.
