Advice on off center tattoo
I got this tattoo back in June and didnt know that it was off center until after it was done. I want to get wings tattooed that go down my arms instead of down my back. There is other things i want to get on my back as well. I want to do finish my back before getting any other tattoos so you can’t tell its so badly off centered. Any advice? What to eat before a tattoo? (Your guys go-to)
Hello hello ^^ I have my first tattoo like 5 or 6 hours from now, they're both on either wrists. I have a really good pain tolerance (from piercings, constant hospital needles of alarming thick gauges) and just life in general. However admittedly my weakness is constant nausea/headaches as my body is ass. I'd like to hear about others go-to meals to feel pretty nourished and sturdy for a tattoo. I'd usually just smoothie it out but I don't want a have to use the bathroom a lot. Also any snacks ! My tattoo artist mentioned bringing some, I'd love to hear your guys snack favs. Would it be polite to bring some for the artist as well? Help I guess..?
I got this shaded and done like a week ago and of course I was expecting lots of peeling to happen but this seems a bit excessive some shading is like peeling right off the skin…. I’m not too sure if I’m just overreacting(probably am)or not but if some of the shading comes off I’ll just have it touched up and shit. Tomorrow I have the appointment to tattoo this design, what do you think about it? Should I downsize 1-2 cm to make the tail of the right crow not curved? Does my sunflower… accidentally look like a nipple in the middle? 😭
Okay, I need honest eyes on this because I can’t tell if I’m overthinking it. I got a sunflower tattoo, and now that it’s healing, the center is starting to look a little too much like a nipple to me. I don’t know if it’s the shading, the color, the texture, or if my brain is just being dramatic, but once I saw it, I can’t unsee it. 😭 Can someone tell me if it actually looks that way, or if I’m just spiraling? And if it does look like a nipple, is there anything an artist can do to tweak the center so it reads more like a sunflower? Honest feedback and suggestions appreciated! tattoo artist won't finish my tattoo
hi all, i originally went in for a half day appointment (10am to 2.30pm) knowing it was going to be finished the same day as the piece I wanted wasn't going to be giant and could definitely be finished in that time. he spent over an hour just drawing, which ended up being bigger than I was expecting but he said it wouldn't be an issue getting it finished today. as we get to tattooing he seems frustrated and starts complaining about my skin being "hypermobile" (I have multiple tattoos from multiple artists and I have never had a complaint). as we're nearing the end of the session, there's still some greywash that needs to be done but all the black has been finished he says he can't finish it today. he explicitly said he would "gift" me the remaining hour or so it would take to finish the tattoo as he said "I spent too long on the drawing, it's my fault". we had verbal conformation for another appointment approx. 3 weeks after the first and M never showed up. I waited for about an hour and the other artist was just as confused, he didn't respond to calls or messages asking where he was. later that afternoon he responded, basically saying OOPS! i remember but I never booked it in. we then rescheduled again for early december. two days before my appointment he texts again to reschedule as he's sick (disappointing but what can I do?), rescheduled for late december. on wednesday i get a text saying "Hey sorry for no confirmation! I booked you in! I just cant finish it for free like I think I mentioned as of shop costs etc I hope you can understand that" he absolutely mentioned gifting me those hours as he spent too long on the freehand drawing because he wasn't happy with it- I loved it and was more than ready to get started. there was just no written confirmation, he makes it sound like I am hearing things. Is this kinda bad work?
So I got this about 3 weeks ago on holiday, I saw it in the artist flash book and thought it looked cool. Sort of impulsively but i had been wanting my second tattoo and had imagined something kinda like this. I was pretty happy with it, maybe the placement isn't 100% what I imagined but I plan to get more arm tattoos anyway so it'll look less lonely or floating. Probably in folky or woodcut type styles and staying with black. Anyway, I thought it was nice and fairly minimal but everyone I show it to seems to kinda react oddly or question why I got it or even make fun of it. Most of them don't have any tattoos fwiw. Obviously some light ribbing i'd expect but I've got more than that from some. Idk why because snakes are a pretty classic tattoo motif, but is it actually a bad job? I could see it being a little blurry/fuzzy in bits or maybe needing the outlines touched up but it's also not healed yet. Would appreciate some input :) attached the flash design and a couple diff angles/lighting for ref p.s. the spot above it is a mosquito or some insect bite lol. Scabbing is all off but I think I snagged the last bit in my sleep and now I see the lines and they kinda look like deep scratches?? It’s still bumpy and some black detail lines aren’t there anymore☹️ I cleaned it with antibacterial soap (unscented) and aveeno lotion like all my other tattoos. Should I get this redone?? It has faded so much (2 weeks old btw)
(1st pic is essentially fully healed, 2nd pic is fresh tattoo) I’ve wanted this tattoo for years now, and my friend recommended me an artist that she said would do a good job with it. I’m happy with the design, and if it stayed the same as Day 1 i’d be thrilled, but this has faded so unbelievably much i’m just shocked really, I mean it’s entirely missing some details. I’m almost certain it’s an artist problem because I did everything I was supposed to when it came to the healing process. Now i’m wondering if I should go back to the artist for a free touch up or go to someone else and have them fix it. Any advice would be appreciated. how would you fix this

Update on chest tattoo: turned into hypergranulation (pictures can be gruesome to some, so TW)
Hi! Here is my OG post for context: https://www.reddit.com/r/tattooadvice/s/5TML0xH3z0 After a couple months, we're still treating it. It turned into hypergranulation which hinted to my dr that the reaction was from my immune system attacking something. We're not sure what it is as it isn't everywhere, and the other pieces I have with those colors haven't been affected. We've had to undergo another 20 days of cortisone cream to help the hypergranulation. It didnt succeed so I might need to get cortisone shots. Were weighing the options currently. I had a nurse monitor the healing process after my original post. Changing the types of pensements to better fit the changing wound. We started with gauze and non stick sterile pads, but they would eventually become stuck to my scabs and it would cause it to bleed and would cause issues with the healing- it could even be why the hypergranulation happened. We switched to the same kind of pensements we put on severe burn to help and it healed from then on. I'm sharing the update so that it can help someone who's going through something similar. The most difficult part of this process so far has been the hit on my confidence. I still need to wait up to 18 months after the hypergranulation is "contained" before we can touch up and finish the project. We will be doing several tests with medical professionals and my artists supplies in order to be sure it wont trigger the same response. I also have a mammogram scheduled already- for those who suggested it. Thank you all for the advices! It was very appreciated. I included the pictures of the og piece, the healing, the worst of it, and the last two are what the hypergranulation looks like now. Can this tattoo be covered up?
Hello, everyone! I've been thinking about getting this tattoo covered up for some years now. Love the album, but I don't love being a promotional poster for it. I got it in 2018 and now I've fully decided to cover it up. But can it be done? I'm thinking about getting a skull or skull + octopus tattoo there, if it'll cover up the pictured tattoo. New tattoo from apprentice
I got this tattoo last Fri from an apprentice. I love it so much but there is a glaring (to me) mistake with the eye socket. I showed the final draft (photo 4) to a few people and no one noticed the mistake beforehand, including myself. She is using chatgpt to help make her images. I didn't notice sent me the picture she took. Just to be clear, I am fine with this tattoo, I really like it. I expected mistakes, I knew it wouldnt be perfect, I was happy to let her practice on me and I'd let her again. Just looking for opinions on the two questions below. Photo one is my tattoo Photo two is my very, very, rough idea how to fix it Photo three is a tattoo she did on fake skin that is also AI generated. The leg turns into the tail and the little arm is distorted Photo four was the final draft. My questions are: 1. How hard do you think it’ll be to add the floral designs from the drawing to my skull tattoo?
Going back in January to add the florals to my skull. The pic that’s my inspo is the last pic in my post. Initially my artist was just doing a skull but before we shaded it Sunday I showed her a more feminine design that I wanted, but the skull outline had already been completed.
