According to this article tho its a voltage problem, so slowing your CPU down might make it crash less, since it will use less power.
There are many ways you can try that... in bios, using third party apps and I think thru Windows too but it has been a long time since I used MS stuff so idk.

RMPC é um player no terminal que honestamente tira onda.
Muito irado, rápido, altamente customizável e funciona com MPD (Media Player Daemon). A barra do Cava vem direto do servidor por socat ^_^ (O que significa que ainda tenho meu Cava local na Waybar bonitão pra audio local)

If you have access to someone else's working PC you can just plug your HDD there and boot from it... if it locks up you PC is fine... and you're back to finding out if its physical or software on your hdd.

By experience, it's usually just software. Windows sucks... Did you clean install or upgrade?

If it doesn't, it's probably the HDD, but it can still be physical wear and tear, or could only be software.

To really know, you can use the windows tool to "factory reset" the PC **but keeping your files**. You will need to reinstall unity and all apps after too. If still locks probably bad hdd...

A live linux ISO is just a flashed USB drive to boot from it. It will boot your computer completely ignoring your physical harddrives and work as the pendrive is your main hdd. Its a ready to use OS (slow due to USB) but you can test it around to see if it locks up. If it does your hdd is fine.

Yeah Windows makes this a bit harder.

But if you could plug your harddrive on another PC, or boot your PC with another harddrive with some working OS (or a linux live iso for that matter), you could isolate the problem from hardware and software (unless the hdd is physically borked)

Is it a laptop or desktop?
Do you have access to another computer for 30 min or so?
If so, are you able to open yours up to re-seat stuff?

On a side-note, on a live linux thru USB does the PC work fine or still locks up?

Tô há 3 dias tentando instalar o Avid (oficial, pago, registrado), no Windows 11 (oficial, pago, registrado) pré-instalado numa maquina funcionando 100%. Tela azul atras de tela azul toda vez que o Windows pede pra reiniciar.

Realmente uma maravilha esse tal de Windows.

Quando larguei o Windows (7?), lembro do ícone que ficava no desktop e se chamava "Meu Computador".
Hoje ele chama "Este PC".

Lembro que a ferramenta de busca era funcional e se chamava 'Find'.
Hoje chama 'Search' e você digita o nome de um app instalado e ela procura no Bing.
