Trump did not just stop military aid to Ukraine, he stopped the supply of air defense systems, and literally gave permission for the Russians to continue massive shelling of Ukrainian cities. Trump does not want peace, Trump wants Ukrainians to cease to exist.

Trump ridiculously writes about some incredible prospects for economic cooperation between the US and Russia. However, unlike Europe, which accounted for 35% of Russia's exports, the US has never been a major trading partner for Russia. Russia has nothing to offer the US market.
