Just noticed that I am one of the oldest active accounts on X. My account is older than Elon's.
AI generated the above insights without being told what SBP is (it got the acronym wrong), just by looking at its usage. 👆

But there is so much more to SBP (Selector-based Programming) than that!
AI understands why SBP is the best programming paradigm.

Add it to your project and thank me later: github.com/okTurtles/sbp

Easy to implement for any language, add yours here: github.com/okTurtles/sb...
Collective insanity is a group phenomenon, and it affects pretty much all groups, regardless of how they identify.

It leads to seemingly never ending cycles of retribution between groups.
Europe seems to not have progressed very far from medieval times.

This is why freedom of speech is important, for when the crowd loses its mind.
I think #Apple is slowing down hardware on purpose.

I have an old iPad Pro and it can barely handle playing video, browsing the web, or navigating menus in System Preferences.
The kids will be alright.

Ever notice how the VCs shill for #Zcash but never #Monero?
*Made a few edits to add sections on:

- What language to write it in
- Why sandboxing plugins is important
- Integration with AI
- Typo fixes

And more!
This is not the past.

This is in fact the future we are living in, relative to emacs, or GNU/future to be precise.

Yet our terminal editors are all stuck in the past. 😤
After trying pretty much every terminal editor out there, I'd say the closest thing that comes to a somewhat decently thought-out editor is micro: github.com/zyedidia/mic...

But it's too primitive.

You can build a decent experience with emacs but it's too fragile and takes forever

Both emacs and vim and pretty much all terminal editors are kinda garbage by modern standards.

Modal editing is just a terrible idea period. But I'm surprised that no amount of tweaking can make emacs competitive with modern GUI-based editors.

Wish there were something good.
If you are a Zionist, and you have a pet project called "Israel", leave the United States.

Nobody wants you here.

And kick some Palestinians out of their homes to make room for yourself while you're at it. I'm sure that will improve your situation.
I support those who are more precise with their language when they are describing extremists.
One cannot fight Zionism by fighting Jews, even if most Jews are Zionists.

It's surprising but true.
In upcoming @okturtles.org podcast episodes I discuss how governments should tax crypto.
These principles apply to everyone.

You there, scrolling the feed, need to understand them because without them you cannot understand your social media feed.

History is written every day and without these lessons you cannot comprehend it.
History teachers need not wait for an order from on high to start teaching this stuff.

Students must first learn how to learn History before they can learn History.

Without teaching these principles teachers are failing their students and themselves.
Lesson 6 (should be much earlier but I didn't think the order through): What a primary source is and why it's important

Teaching this type of stuff is more important than teaching History, because without it you cannot learn History.
We can keep going:

Lesson 3: When official stories and official sources and officials fail

Lesson 4: How to think for yourself from first principles

Lesson 5: Deep fakes and how to detect them
If I were President of a country, I would institute mandatory media literacy classes for all students, and a public campaign on media literacy.

Lesson 1: Do not trust anything you read or watch or listen to online

Lesson 2: How to verify information online

Etc.
I have nothing against Mastodon, but it is not the fediverse and it cannot be the fediverse.

The future of the fediverse is diverse, and we especially need more light weight efficient instances. That, Mastodon is not.
