honest question do we think Felicity Jones is only interested in playing wifes or is it the only role she's ever offered?

upon reflection, most James Mangold films are built around the question “what if a guy was good at something and also an asshole” and that’s why I dislike all of them except Logan.

hello i have just learned about Terry Pratchett's multiple German publishers who either used unbelievably bad covers or put soup ads in the middle of the book.

I have been made aware that I mispronounced Bridge to Terabithia in the new episode. However, I am pretending that is just how you say it with my accent.

6) The film was AP'd by Branagh's former assistant William Moseley. The film also has a cameo by the actor William Moseley, in a scene where Hamish McColl (the writer) also cameos. It took longer than you'd think to confirm that these are different people.

5) can't remember if I cut this or not but the props team were at least thinking about designs for sequels, specifically the mind-wipe device, which only really comes into play in the third book.

If you're not listening to Going Rogue, you really should be. Incredibly well researched & just brilliantly entertaining.

4) Lara McDonnell (Holly) appeared in Branagh's next film Belfast as Cousin Who Wants To Do Crime, and she also did work experience on Death On The Nile

3) this is just for kids who grew up in my house in the early 2000s but Miranda Raison, who played Artemis's mother, was Jo from Spooks. Laurence Kinlan, who played Holly's father, was Dan Kelly in the Heath Ledge Ned Kelly. Neither are in the final cut.

2) the design for Butler (and by extension Juliet) was inspired by Cheddar Man - in 2018 they'd just done DNA testing on the 10,000 year old human remains and found he had brown skin and blue eyes

ok it's time for all the things I had to cut from the Artemis Fowl episode of the pod

1) The same year that he was part of VFX tests for Artemis Fowl (2002), Nonso Anozie played King Lear for the Royal Shakespeare Company - he holds the Guinness World Record for Youngest Lear at 23.
