It was on this date in 1979 that a young me was thrilled to stand in line to see Star Trek: The Motion Picture. I was absolutely amazed to see the Enterprise and crew on the big screen. And I still love this film- but see the director's edition.

Very pleased with my book haul today! Found a new store, the Book Gallery in Mesa. Great covers- the Brunner one is insane! How abot the Barbarians and Black Magic anthology? And Space Vampires? Yep, that's the basis for Lifeforce!

A wonderful story, but worth noting what Schultz said in his letter- very relevant today.
In 1970 5th-grade students at Hawthorne School in Beverly Hills were assigned to write a letter to someone they admired, asking them “What makes a good citizen?"
So 10yr old Joel Lipton wrote to Peanuts cartoonist CHARLES M. SCHULZ - born 103yrs ago today.
