it is 8:41 and they are still on public comment on the 1st item of the agenda. The second item could get as much comment if this passes (big if).

There are 9 other items on the agenda beyond the 2 tied. together.

Need to start a pool on when this meeting will end.

Tampa's Community Redevelopment Agency Board meeting (city council sitting as the board) was canceled this morning. Comments on Facebook suggest the meeting was canceled due to a notorious regular speaker at public comment appearing in costume with homophobic references.

Added a follow up after seeing the minutes and reading through everything closer. Opinion stands.

One thing I will be working on is beginning to mirror all of the supporting documents attached to agenda items. My solution to trying to Keep up with the links as the clerk updates the agenda. Clerk adds a memo to item 45, every supporting document link changes and doesn't redirect.

Guess Buckhorn made it official.
Buckhorn confirms he’s running for mayor again to students at St. Leo College today.
The former (and possibly future) mayor of Tampa came to speak to our faith and politics class today:

Turns out it’s worse than that. Any time the clerk edits the agenda the links break. They broke yesterday without it going to published. Investigating mirroring the docs on my own infrastructure to avoid the issue. No clue when/if this might be addressed.
Something I’ve been meaning to address is fixing the links to supporting documents between the draft agenda publishing & the final agenda. Onbase changes them so now I’ll regularly re-run the script that builds the TM version. Seems like poor architecture in Onbase but nothing else I can do.

Bit of "news" at the end of the Tampa City Council's marathon meeting today—the mayor has floated selling "Big Blue", TPD HQ. Preliminary figure of $36 million. Ironic that council unanimously approved spending $800K on a Facilities Management Master Plan 2 week ago without discussion.

Pushed a fix to this today that fixes the archived view (just view was broken, it's been archiving). Secretly that was more what I was interested in than the current. Slowly building a database of development projects to be able to query against. For background tampamonitor.com/fyi/tracking...
