Hi I'm tamm. Again.

People know me as an artist but I'm actually a huge toy person. Mostly imports, specifically really into gokin stuff and SRW lately.

I never know what to put in these but go look at my main it has cool art.
THIS TOOK ME A WEEK OF PLAYING EVERY TIME I TOOK A BREAK FROM DRAWING
decided I'm just going to say fuck it and emulate the japanese version of OGMD too, since my PS4's disc drive is broken now and there is no goddamn way I am shelling out to repair or replace the system that has been booted maybe 5 times in the last 9 years for anything else but OGMD
just an incredible variety of games on the PS3
sometimes I really do wish I fucked with Masou Kishin more, might have to go back and attempt to replay the reboot games again after so long, never made it past the first Shuu encounter because I was a stupid teenager
still the greatest cut-in in the entire franchise
Like I've heard good things about the SRX SMP, but I've also heard all those same people say it's a terrible dollar value compared to the RIOBOT, and uh. Yeah that's what most of my OGs collection is...
It's probably not going to be something I'm allowed to buy either way cause all the SRW stuff in SMP has been p-bandai, but I will still wait patiently for this to become available secondhand because come on.
(Still deeply sad that it's a plamo and therefore won't have any ratchets 😔)
You really gotta get on OGs so you can see all the Einst in motion.
TF has been afraid of creativity for so long now, it's been either slavish G1 sunbow, cheap remakes of good toys, or chinese companies making violently greebled and over complicated takes. These are just genuinely fresh and cool designs. From Takara of all places. Has to be the Diaclone designers.
Okay that Transformers Overgear stuff looks fucking insane? Vaguely movie vaguely realism vaguely Diaclone but still with that normal G1esque Ironhide face? I think this is for me, like that thing I've wanted but never had presented to me.
The forehead gem is also a big fucking eye because of course it is.
Keep thinking about how the main series lead being a huge toy guy and a huge OC guy who seemed to be in the games industry more to get toys of his OCs made than making games is probably why SRW was so fucking good for so long and is now just a shambling corporate husk 🙂
Finding out that Terada tried to get Dandy Lion plushies made multiple times but never succeeded still stings.
Like the amount of time the Alt and Weiss get remade or reimagined in various forms, or even the amount of times Kyosuke and Excellen get remade is crazy.
Actually really curious to know why the Impact stuff is what constantly gets remade and reworked in this franchise though. Like sensibly in this game it's an Einst core with human tech wrapped around it, but it's only one of numerous times Impact stuff shows up.
Alles Geist is such a sleeper, what a sick ass design.
At the very least, the arm and spear modes both work great. The other joints are perfectly tight and hold up everything no issue. Poses great, no clearance or restrictions besides the elbows being a bit narrow due to the design. Makes it all the more frustrating, really.
Exceptionally frustrating because this is great. This looks amazing. But you need to gingerly pose it as specifically as possible to balance the weight of those back binders, because the broken joints cannot hold their weight. No reason they shouldn't have been normal plastic.
Well, kit is unfortunately very much ruined. Some of the most stellar and exceptional engineering and colour separation I've ever seen. Completely brought down by making the Pexis Cannons attach to the main body by clear plastic. Basically 100% guaranteed to break just by assembly.
Their products just got cheaper and more expensive and more prohibitively difficult to buy, and here comes GSC with a new division headed by a fucking Demonbane fan, and within 5 years, they're pushing new tech and design for IP that only weirdos want and like, and making it all widely available.
Shaping up to be the best Moderoid yet, even better than Xabungle. Watching a discussion on enshittification and realizing that most of the reason I stopped building plamo was because Bandai's biggest innovation was the KA Nu Gundam's hands, and they haven't innovated shit since.
The payoff to this complexity being some insane stuff like this is so worth it though. They got drop down hips mimicking the translucent orbs that they use in the show. They managed to figure out how to wrap DROP DOWN HIPS in translucent plastic to mimic an orb that didn't make sense in real space.
Yeah I was assembling one of the legs after doing a bunch of comm work and uh. I have no idea how on earth I'm even supposed to disassemble it let alone paint it. The intricacies of how the entire kit is built up is frankly ridiculous. Ingenious but ridiculous.
Insanely good colour separation but probably going to be a fucking nightmare to paint if I'm being honest. Almost entirely due to how interestingly and smartly engineered it is. Moderoid continues to be way better at being action figures than plamo, which isn't a bad thing.
