Early childhood educator. During the pandemic I continued to work with my kiddos. One 5 year old little boy looked at me one day and said "Tam, I don't know how you do it" when I said "do what" his reply was " make everyone smile".

I once had a kiddo in my childcare program tell me that I talk to birds because they are my only friends (I told him I have my 16 year old "pup" as well). Any time the weight of the world gets heavy, they are good friends and lighten the load.

I often hear @hcrichardson.bsky.social talk about how art makes difference. This piece of art was given to me by a 10 year old. I tend to make my choices as if a 10 year old is watching "allways".

It can be heavy trying to keep up with what is happening out there but thanks to @hcrichardson.bsky.social and her YouTube channel, I can listen while walking. Views like this help lighten the load a bit.

I often hear that my state of VT is deep blue, yet we keep electing a Republican governor. Not only do we keep electing a republican governor, we keep electing a governor that has been the most popular for the last 12 quarters.

Weather permitting, I take a half mile walk before work because when working with young children, gotta have a clear head. I really like seeing VT colors with the black background.

I had read about the funding for the military only because one of the families in my child care program is military. The reason why my question for your politics chat will always be is there something that wasn't asked is because I may read, but get a better picture from your explanations.

Taking a walk always helps to clear my head. When I am listening to Spotify and Zac Brown Band's Ain't In No Hurry comes on I take it as a sign I should sit down and take in the view.

I am a preschool teacher. My kiddos choose books from the library for me to do their curriculum with. I randomly chose a book from the bag. Title: Love the World. I thought it was....interesting when I got to this page.

I was asked to do senior photos for someone that went through my child care program. During our time he told me I had the most influence on him (I am an early childhood educator) because I made him think. I would ask questions to make him think. Made me think of @matthewfacciani.bsky.social

I had read somewhere on here that we should share when a republican does good things. There is a reason a blue state like VT has repeatedly elected Phil Scott.
