...I am very curious about this one
I know it's a foundational point of the genre, but I'm definitely ok with more games that don't have contact damage and require the enemy to actually swing on you.
Oh, 100%. Of course, don't expect them to actually step in if someone decides you're NOT one of 'the good ones', their acceptance doesn't extend that far.
Fully agreed... the coil tower is fun, but if they have enough length to boxtie your arms, separately snag your ankles, wrap around your snout, press down over your ears...

There's a lovely serpent by the name of Inkanyamba [on FA] who knows how to throw their coils around in such lovely ways...
Also afterwards we can put you away in a leather harness.
Get cocked, get railed, get hot-loaded, have some trigger discipline, and afterwards you get press-checked.
Nah, Taeli's an expert, he'll get the pressure juuuust right.
Seeing things like this makes me want to cross paths with her in VRC all the more. XD
True. I think that's the difference between him and Punisher. He still has faith in the legal system, he's catching them and delivering them because they can't do that.

Meanwhile Castle's perception is the legal system would fail to properly punish them as much as they failed to catch them.
Proposal: As you get more and more worked up your mobility gets more and more limited...
I mean it'd be the equivalent of finding insurance for a tank, good luck with that. XD
I get that you wanna put a modern lens on it but I don't agree. Batman supports the common people over billionaires, he'll take a bullet for a girl who is related to no one in particular.

And reductively referring to the rogue's gallery as just mentally ill ignores all of, you know, the murders.
To be fair, I've always taken the Batman logic is acknowledging that if he does it once it'll be too easy to justify it the next time.

I kind of like it as a conceit that he's aware of his own weakness. [And there's plenty of Batman what-if stories where he goes monsterous and does just that.]
"The difference is that once I'm done killing you... I can stop."
Pft, I'd fight to BE in that position. >.>
...So what you're saying is the last character that caught your attention was a hero...

And now you wanna be a Zero.
Oh, the Nines. I love them, they're always fantastic to see around the cons.
And now I'm picturing a furry with a twinning fetish draining their bank account to get a dozen identical fursuit heads made just for this purpose...
No fair starting to win me over about this month.
Ooh my. Latex dungeon, do tell...
I'm all for continuing to celebrate.
