My current assortment….any other #edtech badges I should get? #alwayslearning
I passed my @ISTEofficial certification! I am officially an ISTE Certified Educator!

Earners of this badge have completed extensive PD around designing, facilitating & assessing learning using technology, as well as passed a rigorous evaluation of their portfolios! 👏🏼🙌🏻🥳
I didn’t qualify to get them from insurance because “I chose to” lose my hearing after 22 & before 65 😤 Otherwise I would’ve been fully covered.
Technology is so cool now my AirPod 2s can double as personalized hearing aids & my family members don’t sound robotic! #gamechanger #technology #Apple
If you don’t feel this way, it’s probably never personally affected you.
& sometimes I’m crazy enough to do VR headsets & @nearpod.bsky.social with Kinder after they have had an ice cream party 2 days before their first school break 🙃 thankfully their teacher is AMAZING & they were cute 😆
This school yr I see 21 kids weekly to work on various skills.

This year's goal is to get each kid a blanket & a game so they can practice their skills.

Today I had the moment of why I have stuck with education for 11 years. I am still in disbelief. 🥹
I don’t even think it should be allowed on a platform.
I find it incredibly significant and valuable I think we need to teach the skills of how to be critical of it and copyright and plagiarism like we did with Wikipedia and the likes. I don’t find it different in that light.
And by isolation I mean a lesson primarily focused on those skills but tying in curriculum so the children see the relevance! #edusky
Absolutely it’s a free AI platform for teachers created by a former teacher and principal. It takes out the scariness of prompting and it has many tools that can help with almost anything you can think of in the school day from planning to emails to behavior management and more! Check it out!
At least what I have seen we just assume now that kids have these skills or ignore the fact they have been Googling questions and copying and pasting the first line of text they see. Especially upper elementary and middle school!
Any other #IBPYP educators on BlueSky? 🌎
Ugh the way this would decrease my stress at work. Also love you and miss you bunches! 💛
No lies detected.
We have a saying, If you it can't be done in Canva, it probably shouldn't be done at all! 🤣
Yes the technology is vastly different but the skills remain the same in the classroom. Thinking critically, asking questions, discernment, putting it in their own words - all skills we have to continue to teach in isolation & with purpose.
Let’s learn about directionality and speed with #spheros and reinforce counting with #beebots! #edtech #learnthroughdiscovery
I love doing #classvr headsets with the kids. Their reactions to being sent to different worlds beyond and inside our own never gets old! Diving into their Inquiry unit on the human body! #ibpyp
My 3rd graders are learning to code at their own level thanks to #hourofcode! #edtech #girlswhocode
I spy 3 friends, 2 of which are coworkers 😁
