Delighted for Morgan Rogers. Rough start to the season, but backed by Unai Emery throughout to play his way out of it, produced a match-winning display yesterday.
Will still be pushing to reach his best level, but great to see him on the scoresheet and playing a crucial role in our win 👊🏽🟣🔵

Delighted for Morgan Rogers. Rough start to the season, but backed by Unai Emery throughout to play his way out of it, produced a match-winning display yesterday.

🗣 Unai Emery: "First half we struggled, they deserved the first half. Leeds were playing fantastic. Second half we changed some things. They tired in the second half and we dominated the ball more. We scored quick and that helped us a lot."

FT: Leeds 1-2 Villa
Excellent response in 2nd half. Really poor in the first struggling with their aggression, but important impact from Malen & decisive quality from Morgan Rogers to help us turn it around. Big win on the road to keep building positive form. UTV!

Dire. Didn't get anything going in scrappy, stop-start half. Obviously biased but thought was a foul, albeit a soft one, for the goal, but so frustrated with our performance so far. Need to deal w/ their aggression better & show so much more quality.
