Also, if you want to help veterans, don't buy a poppy or put money towards the Legion which admitted ages ago they don't care about eradicating war. Donate to the White Poppy Appeal or Combat Stress instead who actually do something useful.

I highly suggest @ente.io for backup of movies and photos and @proton.me for files! I've never had a bad moment with them and they are privacy first.

If you can afford/have time to make one, a local RAID is also good - over a few years it will cost the same as a subscription service.

Looks like Dropbox is doing the same Google Drive did and is purging accounts based on what you back up. They should not even be looking at your files at all IMO.

If you use these services, have everything downloaded somewhere safe so you don't lose it due to corporate whim.

@dropbox.com just gives us radio silence when we contact support - once we say it's an issue of a disabled account, they stop responding.

Online I found that this has happened to so many other people. Dropbox keeps wrongly disabling users by automation then refusing to fix it. Going back YEARS
