Korimako are a type of honeyeater endemic to #Aotearoa #NewZealand.

Every spring when the kotukutuku (Fuchsia excorticata) blooms I see korimako with faces covered in the worlds only plant-kingdom's only bright blue pollen!

#BirdoftheDay is #favourite. It's so difficult to choose just one, but the South American tero (Vanellus chilensis) is peak bird energy: bold, loud, fiercely protective parents who'll dive-bomb anyone near their nest ❤️
