Hi all. I'm Taco Adventure and I have a quest to complete every single graphical, PC, English language adventure game ever made! I'm getting close to 500 games in over 5 years into the quest. If you want to follow the quest live, you can find me on Twitch. www.twitch.tv/tacoadventure

I should have said to use the standard 16-color EGA palette, but SCI will do its best to color match those on import.
It is fine in any format as long as it is at least 320x190. The SCI Companion can import images and put them in its native format. If you want to ensure the color palette doesn't get messed with, make sure to use a 16-color palette.

If you have a particular room you'd like to work on, let me know. I'm hoping to have something out by December, but that really depends on getting enough help with the artwork, which is my biggest barrier right now.
If you want to make some decorations for the rooms, that would be helpful. Pictures, room decor, etc. The first room of Erasmus' is the base game is pretty plain looking without all of the extra decor in it.
This was such a weird and interesting game, and I don't know if I ever fully understood it. I do remember playing it though.
My hope is that if enough people are interested, we can distribute the load making it 1 room per person, but that requires enough interest. I'm not a good artist, but I'm working on basic storyboards for rooms so far.
I've started working on a fan game based around the Quest for Glory series set around Erasmus' house in the original EGA game. I'm planning on use the same engine (SCI0) and I'm wondering if anyone would like to help make some art and rooms for this game. Happy to share my concept so far.
I use the term partner when talking about a partner with another person. It is also normalizing the gender neutral term and helps others in the community that use it to avoid outing themselves while also being able to let people know they have a partner.
The Adventure Gamers site seems to have been gutted by a gambling firm which more or less cuts off another source of adventure gaming news. The @adventuregamedb.com (which I run) continues to provide information free from gambling's heavy influence.
The best Jeopardy is the 1993 DOS version where the CPU would answer with random in-game answers if they were wrong. It can be so hilariously bad.
I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I hope that you are okay.
The started "The 11th Hour" last night and the first puzzle kicked my butt. I understand how the pieces move in chess and the basic rules, but that pretty much where my knowledge of the game ends. I mean, what a way to start the game...

v1.0 of "King's Quest 1: Rubber Tree Edition" is up! Apply the mod here: denzquix.github.io/agi-patch/ You will need the files from the non-enhanced DOS version. The patched files will run in ScummVM under the "Fan AGI" option, or in DOSBox if you include other files from the original game folder.
Current project: a mod for King's Quest 1 (AGI) which adds >UNDO and circumvents softlocks, titled King's Quest: Rubber Tree Edition. A pre-release version was recently featured on stream by the inimitable @emmxyzzy.bsky.social
I finished the second Deponia game "Chaos on Deponia" and there was a hefty dose of moon logic and puzzles that really just tried too hard to be unique and/or funny. Rufus is an awful character again, but the story is interesting, and I want to see where it goes.
I'm sure I'll remember this very logical solution when I eventually play this game.
Well, that is something to look forward to, I guess.
I'm going to be starting the second game in the Deponia series, Chaos on Deponia, tonight on Twitch. The first game made me very annoyed with the main character, Rufus, and I hope that he is significantly less cringe in the following games. Any thoughts on the series?
A Fork in the Tale easily takes the crown as the worst adventure game that I've ever played. The writing was terrible, the game play was terrible, the acting was terrible, the comedy was cringe at best, and it had no redeeming qualities. Rob Schneider made it worse, not better.
Portal Reloaded is making my brain work extra hard. It is basically Portal with an extra time travel mechanic. If you liked Portal and what more, this is for you and it is free. (Though you need to own Portal 2.)
Dreamweb is a pretty unique adventure game from 1994 with a top-down style and interesting control mechanics. Have you anyone played it and what did you think of it? Would you have liked to see more adventure game in this style?

I had lots of fun playing them, though I just realized that I forgot to buy fish fingers today. Keep up the amazing work because it is nice to be able to play games that I wouldn't normally be able to play!
