Neither shark nor dinosaur, to my lingering disappointment. Still, on the plus side, mammals do have better music. #IStandWithStonewall

Best just to leave it. It's active because the temperature has warmed up again. It's not uncommon, and hopefully it will sort itself out. Hedgehog food unfortunately will attract every cat within a forty mile radius, so I've given it up. Just make sure there's some clean water available. :)
Yes, but how many of you are still posting there? Most British politicians seem to have active accounts. Stop. Leave. You're all helping to give him the power that he's trying to use against you. Against us.
Tied between right whale and Elon Musk. Oh, choices choices.
Unless they're criticising cis white men!
The publisher tried to encourage editing, after proof readers pointed out the issues. She got angry and went to the right wing press. The proof readers were then attacked, vociferously, online and in print.
@whysharksmatter.bsky.social published a paper several months ago showing that X's academic use (specifically the sciences) has tanked, and BlueSky is the place to be. X seems beloved by British politicians still though, which is rather worrying. Even Zack Polanski is still there.
Is the bit where he sounds like he's trying not to giggle historically accurate though? 😁
Could you use your influence to do something about the heavy cloud cover?! 😀
There is something quite compelling about vintage photographs of ordinary people.
I like this idea. Religion is important, both for understanding history, and each other today, but it works well wrapped up with ethics and philosophy in a modern timetable, and should work well adapted further as you suggest. The more critical thinking, the better.
There's always a good argument for learning about other people's cultures and religions. We live together in a diverse country, and bad faith actors are constantly trying to tear us apart by spreading lies. So yes, we should learn about each other. Rebecca's suggestion above is a good one though.
It's definitely easier on Instagram, where the emojis are that big bigger! Slightly baffled by no. 9, which vaguely suggests golf course shark. But I suppose that could be a cryptic hint at bull. 🙂
Lorikeet! Although as my scrolling reached the thornbill, I did make a faintly embarrassing ooooh sound.
I think there's Shiffman's Law of Internet, that says no matter how much fun the rest of us are having, Dr Shiffman will constantly be hampered by pillocks.
But how much water does it use?!
BRB, just off to find some bright orange lichen. :) I wonder if it works worldwide, or just in associated rocks of Late Cretaceous of western North America. It does seem very specific, but I guess might have to be.
Not with your little finger stuck up in the air like that! The good people of Waitrose are politely averting their eyes from it as we speak. 😲
New?! The Beeb filmed that for their 1990 series Trials Of Life, one of the Attenborough shows. Amazing footage by Mike De Gruy, king of the underwater cameramen. He pretended to be a seal :) Never ceases to impress though.
That's true. Leaving NATO has been part of the party's plan for years, since way before the current situation. Hence, I think, Zack being quick to emphasise it's still needed. The hugely expanded membership will likely change policy soon anyway. The Left has NATO issues, but hopefully will grow up.
Blimey, they're angry in Louisiana.
You're missing the rather lovely Paddington On Screen, in which he visits the set of Blue Peter. Recommended, if you can find it! :)
Fortunately they have no immediate plans to crash NATO. Clearly it's needed for the foreseeable future. It could use work though, especially given how easily derailed it is by a hostile USA (like at present). Zack P has talked of staying in, but looking ahead to a necessary revamp.
... Shouldn't it be *an* historian though?! 😀😇
