I didn't know threats of violence/lynching against individuals were ok on BlueSky...
Today in Milan, a student activist group hung a trash-filled effigy of Musk upside down on a gate outside of piazzale Loreto, where Mussolini's body was displayed in 1945.
They left the message: "C'è sempre posto a piazzale Loreto, Elon" (There's always room in piazzale Loreto, Elon)

So whatever happened to this idea that we were going to run out of IPv4 addresses? Seems like in 2024, nearly 2025, it's still pretty easy to get a new server with a fresh IPv4 address. How did that get fixed or sidestepped... anyone know?

Just moved into new flat in Barcelona. "There's RJ45 ports in all the rooms, looks like this place is wired for internet!"
Reality: The contractor cut the fibre cable thinking "It's a Vodafone cable so doesn't matter". Also, the RJ45 ports have nothing behind! (They do have guide wires thank god!)

What I love about programming: every time I get a little closer to getting the computer to do what I want, I get a little hit of dopamine that keeps me going/happy.
What I don't love: when it should work but doesn't because I made a dumb somewhere and it takes me 4h to get a tiny thing working...
