For me at least it's less about having a VO and more how bizarre cutscene direction can feel without it in the Switch games. Like it's always weird to have the characters speak with actual mouth movement and everything and just have nothing come out. It's not a game killer obviously but it is weird

Fond childhood memories of putting those little overlay cards on my touch screen to summon new Spectrobes in the original game. Weird how this was a Disney property and was probably killed off to make way for Disney Infinity

I feel like it should be expected for these games to have these shortcomings by now and have numerous failed boycotts by people who think Game Freak are just lazy. I'm having a blast with Z-A so far and that's in spite of the flaws, would I like those things fixed? Sure but I'm not pretending.

For me I couldn't even finish SV until the Switch 2, I get it. But also this is the fourth time the games don't have VAs but for some reason some folks lack the pattern recognition portion of their brains to not treat it with the same vitriol every time.

I keep seeing thumbnails on YT like "POKEMON ZA IS SLOP CASH GRAB!?!?!" and it feels like they just say shit for the sake of it in this day and age. It can be better, it can always be better, but folks are just pissing boiling rage for shit they already knew would be the case at this point.
