Curious how other researchers are using Bluesky vs. Twitter/X for academic or professional communication? Me too!

That’s exactly what I’m studying for my graduate capstone.

I like to listen to lo-fi tunes while I work. Stumbled across these lo-fi instrumentals based on classic Scooby-Doo tracks. It's giving a professional spooky season vibe that I didn't know I needed!

I submit Idris Elba for your consideration particularly if you include his commercials. I’m convinced his agent secretly hates him.
The PBS show #caregiving is a must see. As a woman who was a full time caregiver for children and elders for 12 years, I know well the cost of serving society that goes uncompensated.
What’s the German word for that feeling when you’re binge watching an awesome show and getting to the end of the last season. You want to stop and savor but you also NEED to know how it ends.

Also Pamela Adlon is a genius. #betterthings
I brought Lord of the Flies to a weeklong camping trip on an otherwise uninhabited barrier island with 10 other teens and two adults.

Autism isn’t an epidemic. It's not a disease. It’s a natural variation in how people think…which, frankly, is a relief in a world where most people don't think at all.

Rep. Rich McCormick: "I grew up in Oregon where they had great drinking water, no fluoride added, and I don't remember having any people I knew had autism."

(McCormick is also a doctor.)
I’m thinking instead of saying combat climate change, leaders should say alleviate climate suffering.
A little good news for a newsfeed palate cleanser.

NEW PAPER, JUST OUT! 👀

Insects from the '70s and '80s were already collecting microplastic, decades before the term microplastic even existed. 🤯

A thread on the surprising history of this pollutant and the incredible insect larvae that helped us uncover it. 🐛

I LOVE seeing all the smaller HandsOff protests ! What courage!
Rats! I can’t believe I forgot the alt text. Thanks for the gentle reminder.

This is what democracy looks like in Ames Iowa!
My moms in Lafayette Louisiana and I were passing photos back and forth.
Little Ames Iowa turned out for Hands Off today. Lots of seniors and vets. Saw one lady with Bob Dole earrings.
