This Friday is World Mental Health Day – a reminder of how vital emotional support is, especially during difficult times.

Going through the court process can be overwhelming and isolating. That's why our volunteers are there with a listening ear and a compassionate presence.
Meet Nigel, a former magistrate who now volunteers with us at the Central Family Court.

His story shows the difference volunteers make every day, offering guidance, reassurance, and compassion when it’s needed most.

Our volunteers understand that clients are facing a range of emotions so are there to offer a listening ear and reassure them that we are there for them.

When clients need additional emotional support we signpost to specialist helplines:

"Thank you so much, you have really helped."

Lisa, a single mother felt overwhelmed facing court alone. Our volunteer Keira sat beside her throughout the hearing, offering reassurance and emotional support when it mattered most.

Rhian came to Support Through Court terrified of facing the court system on her own. With empathy and care, two of our volunteers listened to her story and helped her complete the forms she had struggled to fill out.

Facing the legal system can feel overwhelming, but small steps - like spending time in nature, creating art, meditating, or exercising - can make a big difference. Don’t hesitate to reach out to friends, family, or support services. Let's prioritise mental well-being together.
Well done to our amazing runners Jacqueline, Paul, Greg, Edward and Dave who recently ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon fundraising for Support Through Court!

Together they have raised over £8300 so far with more donations still coming in! Thank you so much!
