I was 100 feet away originally. Bird at top of an evergreen tree. It made the choice. Did I move and take its attention from whatever it was hunting or just stay still lens in position just moving to push the silent shutter?

most magical wildlife encounter of my life. Red-tailed hawk chose to hover 12 ft from me just outside my 400mm prime’s min focusing. I didn’t move from this stance letting the bird dictate it all. I photo ethically but what does one do when the wildlife chooses to approach. #hawk #bird #wildlife

Pelagic birds are fun to observe. Jaegars are parasitic birds harassing terns and gulls into giving up their catches. These strong flyers are amazing while frustrating. Debate remains on which species Parasitic or Pomerine. #bird #wildlife #nature #photography #jaegar #pelagic

I missed them this year :( Orchard Orioles seem few and far between for me unlike their Northern oriole cousins. To me stunningly colored and a sweet tooth when not foraging for insects which are in sharp decline. #oriole #bird #birdwatching #wildlife #nature #photography
