An old bit of adventuring wisdom: Never split the party.

But in a bid to save lives, one party decides to roll the dice and part ways, with a promise to meet again in one week. All it takes is one betrayal, though. They’re left with a broken promise and the witch Norui is lost, her disappearance haunting her friends.

Enter Allen West, an Investigator for the Bureau of Magic Regulations, who hunts down illegal magickers. A lead on a series of missing adventurers traps him and his companions in the very ruins where Norui has been imprisoned.

Freeing themselves means challenging the enigmatic Whistler, a powerful illusionist whose twisted games blur the lines between reality and nightmare. In his domain, every step could be their last, and they have only a single night to defeat him.

But as West and Norui join forces, their greatest threat may not be the dark forces that threaten their lives, but their fellow adventurers, whose loyalties are as uncertain as the shifting illusions surrounding them. As the night draws on, they must decide if they can trust each other- or if their journey will end in ruin.

Survival demands more than just courage: it requires a leap of faith. The only way out is through....

Talking with my friend on how much we love Nerds Clusters going through the checkout line, and the cashier instantly clocks both me and my friend as autistic/ADHD based solely on our candy preferences. I didn't realize that was a tell but I sort of love it

Had my first successful three-day workweek! Looking like I'll be able to keep at my job, whew. I'm making more progress on writing as well, so good things there. Still got a ways to go health-wise, and I'm definitely suppressing my worries there... but I really hope I can keep improving from here!

Grimshire: the game review

Imagine Stardew Valley, with a Beatrix Potter aesthetic... and a mean streak. Wholesome and fun, but harrowing as well. Loved the heck out of my first playthrough, and can't wait to see how it evolves!

I may actually have the coolest doctor in the world. Discussing my autistic burnout, they tell me to let my brain rest, find a hyperfocus. I mention a game has helped... they proceed to ask what game, get hyped because it suits their tastes, and recommend others. Cried hard after, felt so seen

A few design notes:

- Lore-wise, they die at the end of each stream in order to be reborn in a new chrysalis.
- Their skirt is a piece of the chrysalis!
- The color and patterning on their wings and body changes each stream to suit different moths.
- They are currently agender, femme leaning.

First I've been able to draw since I started my medical leave - new Vtuber concept that my brain's been cooking! Concept is an insomnia pixie/anti-Sandman, who is born anew from a chrysalis each stream. Any design pointers from my artsy pals?

A moth-winged humanoid with feathery antenna and a furry ruff around their neck. They have an alligator-like smile and sleepy eyes. Their hair is in two high round buns, with loops twisting behind on either side. They wear a skirt-like piece of apparel that looks like a broken piece of chrysalis.

Side note: Even if I can't get my creativity down, at least I'm still having fun coming up with ideas! In addition to tons of storybuilding for current projects, I also have a fun new story outline and a really cool Vtuber idea I can't put down 👀 So new fun on the horizon once I'm better!

Just a lil life update: I'm on a medical leave for the next couple months. Everything is under control and such, but if I'm unusually quiet, it's because my resources are already overtaxed handling it all. Can't even do any writing or drawing rn, just don't have the oomph lol. Love to all!

WIP update! Only a few more details for lineart left. Pip has clothes, so fancyyyy! I realized the chest/waist belt I'd added had to layer under the cloak... wah. But I finally replaced the front buckles and am so happy with the new fasteners. Also, leg pouch/knife!

WIP update - whew! Lots more details baked in now, and our lil Nuralli buddy Pip is back in the lineart (though very underdressed for the moment.) Still more details to add and I'm not fully happy with the cloak front buckles still, but it's getting closer!

Another character design for my upcoming story, We've Gotta Kill Steve!

Within minutes of meeting Forge, you can tell she's too well-bred to be slumming it with a smelly adventuring party. But needs must- she has a dream she's saving up for, one that's outcasted her from her family....

Latest WIP!

Lines are coming along nicely! We've got both wings, a cloak that has full movement, and a bit more motion in the hair as well. Still lots to refine (and we still need to add Norui's sidebag and passenger haha), but happy with how things are developting!
