This week at Art Club, we dove into Alphonse Mucha and Art Nouveau. I reimagined his 1897 Monte Carlo poster with an Indian colour palette. #art #alphonsemucha #studiomarkers
Drawing this scene in pastel allowed me to really push the contrast between the dark alley and the vibrant, glowing lights. The reflections in the wet street were the most satisfying part.

A lone figure trudges through fresh snow, bundled tight against cold, passing a bus stop plastered with a sunny ad. I loved the contrast between the icy stillness of winter & warm escape that exists on the poster.

If any flag waving racists put flags up my road the flags will get burnt down and replaced with EU, LGBTQ flags, Ukrainian, Palestinian and random unicorn flags that I can get my hands on. Sadly the St George cross’s & Union flag are currently being used as symbols of radcism and xenophobia. 🇪🇺🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🇺🇦🇵🇸🦄🖕
