It's #UNOpenSourceWeek! ASF President @suehle.bsky.social‬'s opening remarks celebrated the alignment of #OpenSource goals and those of the UN Charter.

ASF members also served as hackathon judges for projects focused on the effects of climate change on the lives of children around the world.

I was doing 100 other things dudring this event (just out of frame to the left!), but I did manage to make edits to one page as a part of the edit-a-thon!
On Monday, people from around the world piled into the headquarters of the United Nations in New York City to expand tech policy knowledge on Wikipedia for its first big edit-a-thon.

Together, they made 1,000+ edits and added 16,500+ words to articles about global digital policy. Read ➡️ w.wiki/EWbm
