That J**** series are really difficult to read and even harder to photograph. A 5 alpha-numeric with the finest font known to mankind.
I had a quick look at lunch time trying to get a toddler to sleep. Fancy a look on Friday ?
Have you actually got 2 different white c/r gulls there ?
I’ll get along on Friday for a look at it empty. It’s been a while
Great work Alan , does that include improving/ reinstating the sediment forebay to prevent future silting up over the whole pond ? It formed part of the original design but was never really maintained.
3 #ColourRinged Shags on #Blyth East pier this afternoon.
White SLI - Isle of May 2020

Any record shots ? 😉
We couldn’t figure out where the real Purple Sands had gone
2 Yellow-browed Warblers for their 5th day in Ridley Park, #Blyth
#NEbirding
This Merlin at Rocky Island Seaton Sluice this morning was definitely a wannabe Purple Sandpiper. Later seen hunting in Collywell Bay. #NEbirding

This is news to me. The regular Northumberland wintering Black Scoter spends the summer off Varanger, Norway.
🎶 Let’s go outside (let’s go outside)
I know you want to but you can’t say yes 🎶
Twitch on next to the toilet block. 3 Yellow -browed Warblers in that tree.
Ruff and Snow Bunting in the same year. What’s next ?
Isle of May (White SLI ) and @bardseybirdobs.bsky.social (Red BBVE) #ColourRinged Shags together at #Blyth East Pier today. Still none of our English regulars back yet.

Masters of disguise those tricky Puffins 😉
Well just like that, it’s October and after 2 blank visits the first #ColourRinged Shag is back on #Blyth East Pier. However, I wasn’t expecting it to be Red BBVE, last year’s @bardseybirdobs.bsky.social juvenile ringed at Tornado Ledge on 8/7/24. I wonder where it’s been since April ?

Aye, next thing I’ll be #outside the ladies at St Mary’s with you and the rest of the People’s Republic seawatchers 😉
The prime site at Ridley Park #Blyth failed to deliver any for me today.
Phew ! Just inside my 10 mile from home radius. 🎣
The Raptorfest of the last few days continues at Seaton Sluice. Osprey, Marsh Harrier and Peregrine all south today following on from yesterday’s in off Hen Harrier. #NEbirding
It’s a stunner ! Flew north past Seaton Sluice this afternoon before quickly doubling back the the People’s Republic. Obviously didn’t fancy the look of Blyth 😉
Does it get any better did you say? …..it certainly does ! Look at this beautiful 🤪leucistic Herring Gull which entertained us at Seaton Sluice whilst failing miserably to connect with the Honey Buzzard despite your gallant efforts with directions.
