IF the #NASCAR Cup Series used Mario Kart 8 points, 2025:

Kyle Larson is your MK8 Champion, winning his 2nd title and first since 2021. It came down to the final caution, and the call to take 2 won him 2.

Had the caution not come out, Bell would've been champ by 1 over Hamlin.

If that does happen, it will be with the Mario Kart World format, in order to properly adapt to changing trends. And it will be here. Only here.

I don't know if I'm going to come back and do this. Rumors have stated that they want a full season format. I want a full season format, I think we all do or else we wouldn't be here following one. If they do, then we won, we did what we set out to do, and changed our sport for the better.

This was a difficult year for me. My mom is sick, and my brother (whom I am the primary caregiver of) is in a ton of extracurriculars. I want to thank them for their unending patience and allowance for me to do this for so long every Sunday.

First and foremost, I've been doing this for about 7 years on here. This year was difficult. My regulars for the fantasy game kept pushing me to be better and show up every race. And for the most part, I did.

In what looked like a day where Hamlin picks were gonna earn the most, Larson capitalizes on the last restart and gives us our 2nd, and final, lead change of the season. Andy wins by 2pts in a dramatic thriller on a final restart.

I want to get a better look at that Byron wreck. Nascar swallowed the whistles all afternoon. Austin Dillon, Alex Bowman, Larson, Briscoe, all blew tires and no caution. Was Byron's that worse? Did it need to be called?

I don't know how to feel. I don't know what to do.

Man, I'm not a Hamlin fan by any means but it just feels absolutely gut-wrenching. And the worst part is, we can't even blame the format, Larson wins in a full season and in MK8, he deserves it. But to do it because of a final restart in overtime?

I just feel crestfallen.

A lot to talk about here. Hamlin misses 200 by a spot. Logano misses 100 by a spot, which ends a streak of 12 straight 100pt seasons. Blaney finishes in range of 200. Keselowski finishes in range of 100, so does Preece. Bell extends his streak to 9 races, a Next Gen record. No pts for Ware/Herbst.
