I finally came over from the other place, and I hope I can find most of my favorite follows here soon. For now I'm staying there as a holdout, until they either turn out the lights or merge with Truth Social as rumored. So far, I really like it here! Obligatory cat photo below.

Kegseth is certainly doing his best to outdo RFK Jr. and Rubio as the worst Cabinet pick. There aren't any good ones, to be sure, but there are different degrees of terrible.

I manage most of the time, but I am hyper-aware when I am out and have to park and get out of my car, knowing that disabled people are targeted by criminals looking for easy pickings. Before, I never had to think about how long it takes me to get in or out of a vehicle and how vulnerable I am then.

I am still masking and I have encountered few others who do these days, even in medical offices. I have a very small bubble, and I have managed not to get sick after almost six years of Covid; I have become disabled in the past couple of years and I don't need Covid on top of that. You're not alone!

They did the same think to Word/Office. I briefly had what I think was the best and most functional version, 2007- lots of features without being bloated, intuitive, fast, even fun. They had to screw that up of course. Eventually it wouldn't even run anymore as they pushed the new Office junk. 🤬🤬🤬

I'm off Xitter and I didn't know Yaccarino was out, but I'm not surprised. She served her purpose, and now Elon can go back to posting his typical moronic misogyny and racism for his minions to lap up and she doesn't have to be his apologist anymore; it's all out in the open now.

I did eons ago, when it was still a physical magazine. I thought about signing up again until I saw where it was headed, and I could never trust it now. It used to be great and now it's just sad.

My older brother was in the Navy, stationed in Hawaii, and he married and settled there after he left the service. It was a Very Big Deal when we got a call from him, or our relatives in Florida. If we called them, it had to go through an operator, there was no direct dial for long distance then.

I still remember my childhood phone number. It's engraved on my brain and it will probably be the last thing I retain if I ever have dementia. We had a special telephone table in our house, a seat with built-in shelves for the phone books, and a phone heavy enough to be used as a deadly weapon.

Speaking of the Sixties, The Box Tops' version of A Whiter Shade Of Pale totally slaps.

Snow Patrol did a great version of New Sensation by INXS, and I like it better.

End of an era for sure. I heard his show on the radio and saw him live a few times, lots of fun. I loved that kind of late night radio. Is it just me or is that mostly gone now except for subscription services like Sirius?

So, we bid farewell to another beloved artist- John Lodge of The Moody Blues has died at age 82. This song was one of their best, and probably my favorite of John's compositions. I have loved his music for so many years, and he was also a good man with a heart of gold. 💔

I wish Senator Schiff had answered her when she asked if he had a law degree, as if it was a "gotcha" moment. How does she NOT know that his law degree is from Harvard? She is so arrogant and defiant, but it's all an act covering up her incompetence. They should have wiped the floor with her.

So how do the tech oligarchs fit into this? We know how much they love fascism, but the old guard GOP doesn't understand what they do, and the base that put Trump in office doesn't either, and they're not going to follow leaders who don't promote religion. I see a huge power struggle ahead.
