Tennis (and some cycling).
Fábi is on the draw of ATP 500 Rotterdam, to start against Zizou, but I wonder if he will maybe withdraw. #HUNwatch

USA are through to R2 of Davis Cup Final qualies after beating Hungary 3-0. There wasn't much hope for Hungary, yes, we all expected Fábi to win, but the pressure was just too much for him. It is still true that Fábi is not really a good player in team situations. #HUNwatch

A tiny hope for Hungary as the take the 2nd set 6-3. #HUNwatch

Day 2 of HUN v USA, doubles. Not much hope for the Hungarians, down 0-2 after day 1. #HUNwatch

Must say it’s nice that all DC matches seem to be available to stream free on the DC official site.

Hungary will need a miracle to get out of this tomorrow. #HUNwatch

A little tribute to Tímea Babos, who retired, at least for now, this year. #HUNwatch

A super nervy Marozsán loses the third set TB 11-13.
Fábi is simply not a Davis Cup player, out of 6 matches he's only won 2.
He was unable to convert 4 MPs in that TB, but what an impressive debut from Ethan Quinn.
Hungary is down 2-0 after day 1. #HUnwatch

Why? you might ask. But this typical Marozsán, mind boggling sudden drop in level. #HUNwatch

Fábi wins Hungary's first set of the day. And he needs absolutely no input from the coach lol. #HUNwatch
February 7, 2026 at 3:15 PM
The first superb rally of the day, and Fábi has the break *3-1 #HUNwatch
February 7, 2026 at 2:56 PM
His second service game was a struggle, had to save 2 BPs, but Marozsán holds, 2-1* #HUNwatch

Fábi v Quinn (his DC premier) is about to start. The coin toss was done by Ágnes Szávay, another former Hungarian player whose career was stopped early due to severe injury. #HUNwatch

Short oncourt interview with Piros, who says, as we saw, he picked up a thigh injury in the first game, but he hopes to be able to turn up for his matches tomorrow .#HUNwatch
February 7, 2026 at 2:30 PM
Not much to say about the 2nd set, Piros, as so often, faded away. Such a huge gap between pro top100 players, and not so pro ones outside of it. The leg injury he picked up in game 1 is a worry for the rest of the tie.
Paul wins match 1 76(3) 63.
Next up: Fábi v Quinn. #HUNwatch

The guy on the megaphone is unbearable.

Zsombi has the break in the 2nd set. *2-1
The amount of time you can lipread Zsombi say "baszd meg" lol. #HUnwatch
February 7, 2026 at 1:45 PM
Far from full house, tbh. #HUNwatch
February 7, 2026 at 1:33 PM
Despite the obvious physical issues, Zsombi kept fighting on and made the set close. But Paul takes the TB 76(3). Fábi has left to get ready for match 2. #HUNwatch

Fábi looking on tensely. #HUNwatch

Zsombor Piros's career in a nutshell: talent with an extremely brittle body. Already MTO. #HUNwatch
February 7, 2026 at 12:54 PM
In front for now. #HUNwatch
February 7, 2026 at 12:43 PM
Break back or not, Paul looks just stronger, Piros is struggling a lot. #HUNwatch
February 7, 2026 at 12:40 PM
Well, Zsombi breaks straight back after a 14 min game. #HUNwatch
February 7, 2026 at 12:37 PM
Piros is broken in his first service game, as we all expected. Already crisis coaching needed. #HUNwatch
