Music lover for whom sound causes intense pain, so I don’t listen very often. Spend most of my day reading old crime novels.

Christine And The Stackyard Stompers Present Sphinx (1999)

This is really great, but unfortunately only the first 14 tracks are playable. It looks like sunlight has bleached out the recording surface! I’ve never known this before, I don’t think it being a CDr helped.

Mrs Crevatte: Have you been having models up here? Have there been naked women in my establishment?

Tony: Of course not, I can't afford 30 bob an hour. I did that from memory. That is women as I see 'em.

Mrs C: You poor man! Fancy knocking around with women like that!

If you're gonna go through life with a nickname like "Peanuts," best come prepared. Johnny Ancil Wilson (November 29, 1935 - September 24, 1980) brought a cast iron arm.

Al Jackson, Jr (born today in 1935) was one of session giants at Stax Records in Memphis. In addition, Jackson’s drumming was the backbone of Booker T. & the M.G.’s. Everyone – from Elvis to Al Green to Aretha Franklin to Bill Withers – wanted him on their record. Jackson tragically passed in 1975.
