We will also take new packs of socks, gloves, and stocking caps. (We don’t need water.)

When the temperature drops below freezing, Street Chaplains goes out into our neighborhoods, finding the homeless and handing out hand warmers, socks, gloves, and stocking caps. (We also hand out bottles of water because hydration is VERY important during temperature extremes.)

The next 2 weeks are going to be critical in the survival of the Homeless in the Tacoma/Pierce County area as the temperature will drop to either freezing or below freezing each night. Please help us keep our fellow humans safe from hypothermia and frostbite.

You will see occasional posts from us announcing an upcoming Moments of Blessing or Homeless Memorials, as well as the requests for emergency supplies to help our fellow humans during times of weather extremes.
