FINALLY Apple let us have message backgrounds. Istg HOW long has it been??? 🥲

Now if only they would let us customize the message colors

I hope it helps! 🫡

Also iirc the game physics of turns pivots in the center of the vehicle rather than the front tires (which personally throws me off because I'm expecting car physics not forklift....)

I did a test where I hit every obstacle and the biggest one that triggered a fail was a car that stops at the far right lane when the NCPD turns right and also the two obstacle cars at the very start. Beyond those you can take the rest pretty lax. (video was the slowest I'd taken it without failing)
strawberrywolferz.bsky.social
So it seems like hitting obstacles triggers the NCPD car to accelerate a bit, but as long as you keep moving forward it matches your speed for the most part (fastest at 40m away to stay away from you). There are a few cars that can't be pushed apparently so stick more to the middle of the road maybe
strawberrywolferz.bsky.social
So the sweet spot seems like it's less about speed and more about visual range. Once you get around the first obstacle the NCPD car tries to accelerate out of sight. But after that 1st bit, I was driving so slow the NCPD car kept getting hit by the obstacles 😂

You miss out on the follow-up quest which is one of the more interesting ones. But failing the quest is arguably the best outcome for the client you're driving with who's yapping at you. (Trying to not spoil)

The follow-up quest is a bit frustrating to do the right way via dialogue and choices too

I'm about to start Sinnerman now, I'm planning on failing on purpose this time anyway (was just gonna go drive off in the opposite direction 🤣) so I'll see where the sweet spot is in case you are interested? 🙂

Oh yea Beat on the Brat? Thats great for if you're rocking a pair of gorilla arms but for netrunner builds its worth skipping.

if you see this post, QRP with a character that has long hair ✂️

I haven't worked on this WIP in a bit and will probably get redone soon. 🙃

You say "overthinking" I say "thorough analysis." 😎
strawberrywolferz.bsky.social
(GTA V will let you skip ahead to the next checkpoint of the mission if you keep dying/failing)

But yea I can't drive faster than Sunday driver. I lose control too easily and I think it's because of input lag. I turned off the stick acceleration but it didn't help much.... 🙃
strawberrywolferz.bsky.social
The Panam "follow the cars" thing they go as fast as you do. You can take your time.

The one quest I mentioned is the one with the Perelez's. Won't spoil but so far that's the only one that I've struggled with because of the stupid driving. Idr if they let you skip the section like GTA will or not.
strawberrywolferz.bsky.social
like you're barreling after the other guy. The races I usually skip until I feel like quick hacking everyone (self-destruct) and using emergency brake hack on the mysteriously resistant other ones. The only vehicle with issue then is the very last race but he stays ahead of you no matter what.
strawberrywolferz.bsky.social
There is only one that I know of that will restart you if you are too slow, but the Sinnerman quest for example you can Sunday drive and the vehicle stays a specific distance away from you. It has preprogrammed NPCs to jump in your way but they can be easily navigated around when you aren't driving

free roam version that follows NPC behaviors like stopping at traffic lights and stuff. My favorite mode of transport is double jump (tendons) + dash/air dash combo. I just spam alternate X + O on my controller. You go pretty fast. Almost as fast as the vehicles on the road.

If it makes you feel better, the timed dialogue is optional and sometimes (especially with Johnny) it's better to let the timer run out. The timed dialogue with him is usually really mean/rude.

Driving is better on a controller, but it's still janky/tanky. Autodrive sucks unless you're doing the

I think my only "ick" with movie stuff is a lot of these scenes in the past were never done with all of the actors comforts/boundaries in mind. And I always worry that's still a problem. Because Hollywood.

But that's it, really.
strawberrywolferz.bsky.social
Proof that I do, in fact, write a lot. I have to write a few chapters first before I edit and post so I can be sure I like the direction it's going. 🤔

Davrin, an assumed dominant, actually being submissive in scenes or even just anytime behind closed doors in private sounds equally as reasonable as both of them having same/similar results too.

Could still work just fine
