Clown In A Cornfield is tons of fun. Not Tucker & Dale, but that was lightning in a bottle. Much as I enjoyed the Terroriser films it's the best clown-related horror movie I've seen in... longer than that. Also is kinda wholesome but STILL has a mad proper WTF kill. 9/10

Ed totally knows George pushed him. He's just too nice to say it and is trying to avoid conflict. I get it, but for the sake of drama I wish he'd just fucking say it. Maybe Christmas? #TheArchers

I'm enjoying the George/Amber thing tbh. They're both people I'd find objectionable in real life but we get to see more sides of them than you would if you met them. I'm warming to Amber and finding George to be a lot more complex now. Increasingly a prick, mind. #TheArchers

Playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 with the lights off and headphones may not exactly replicate the fear of sneaking around surrounded by anomalies, mutants and other stalkers shooting at you, but it definitely hits the level of being off your tits and having to go to the all-night garage.

Mike Graham the concrete farmer has blocked me on Twitter. Guessing it was when he appeared in public espousing the same racist shit he called "vile" when he said he'd been hacked just before TalkTV fired him. Called him a racist AND a coward. One more for the Pokedex!

Thing about that horrific fire in Hong Kong... I mean, not saying that CCP authoritarianism is a good thing, but like I woke up at 4 in the morning with the World Service on and they were saying three people from the construction firm had been arrested. How long ago was Grenfell?

Am I going mad, or is Nigel Farage's "alarm clock Britain" a Lib Dem slogan from like fifteen years ago? Are Reform really running out of propaganda tools THAT fast?

Met my mum and sister for lunch today at the South Bank. There was a dude corraling a party of school kids, he shouted "gotta do a quick headcount". Obviously kids started yelling random numbers. One said "6,7" and nobody joined in. Yeah, Starmer's ruined it for them.

YAY! Turns out volume 2 of Masters of Horror season 1 isn't as hard to get as it was last time I tried looking for it. Just ordered it. Thank you for joining me on this tedious rollercoaster. But given that season 2 seems to play OK on Prime, give it a go.

Nah, fuck that, Prime is saying season one episodes are "unavailable due to expired rights". Well don't fucking put them up then. This is annoying because it's the second half of season one (including Imprint) that I'm missing. Fuckers. Season two seems to work OK though.

Anyway, looks like tonight I'm watching Incident On And Off A Mountain Road again. Joe Lansdale and Don Coscarelli, the Bubba-Ho-Tep dream team, though it's a very different story.

Carpenter has EXCELLENT episodes in both seasons of Masters of Horror- Cigarette Burns in s1 and Pro-Life in s2. But Joe Dante's Homecoming (which was incredibly timely satire when first broadcast) is probably relevant again. And Takashi Miike's Imprint is something fucking else.

OH SHIT Masters of Horror is on Prime! For those who (entirely justifiably) don't do Amazon, this also means it's gonna be easier to pirate now, given that it's been hard to get for a while (had it on DVD, lent out and never got back, managed to find MOST again in chazzas).

Why is only one person in Glinner's court case routinely described as an "activist" when Graham's the one for whom it's a full-time job and the way he makes his living?

Stalking The Atomic City is such a great book, albeit it VERY short. Much like the first time I read it, I was initially like "whoah, I'd fucking LOVE to do this" and then thirty seconds later "no, I wouldn't, I'd fucking hate it, but I'm glad someone else did and wrote about it".
