Normalisering vindt plaats door in te gaan op Geerts doelbewuste neprelletjes.

Inderdaad door neonazis als waren het serieuze politici te laten aanschuiven.

Maar juist ongecureerde beelden als deze, laten zien hoe abnormaal fascisme is. Dat moet dus juist volop getoond worden.

Bij hun vrijlating werden Israëliërs ‘gijzelaars’ genoemd, maar Palestijnen ‘gevangenen’. Een groot deel van hen heeft nooit een proces gehad. Waarom zijn woorden belangrijk in dit soort situaties? ‘Als je de context niet benoemt, draag je bij aan dehumanisering van Palestijnen.’

Zijn Palestijnse gedetineerden ook gegijzeld? Of noem je ze politiek gevangenen?

Het is Eerdmans die van partij naar partij hopt om maar op het pluche te blijven, geen enkele binding met kiezers, die man komt nooit uit zijn ivoren toren.

Look at Germany: it's generally seen as a peaceful country.

It got there through properly dealing with all involved in the nazi regime, by paying reparations and by collectively accepting guilt and taking responsibility.

locking up one leader for corruption is not gonna be enough to gain trust.

Point is: the world wil rightfully see Israel as a racist colonial ethnonationalist people who support nethanjahu's hunger-genocide, unless they properly deal with him and all involved.

Be it trough the ICC or a dedicated tribunal.

He should be punished for both, and if he does get prosecuted for corruption first, the decision to hand him over to the ICC or not, reflects on the moral values of the rest of Israeli society.

E.g. protecting a perpetrator of genocide is generally frowned upon.

Religion is taking away the brake that otherwise would be consequentialist ethics.

The driving force is still greed, racism, vanity.

If religion was the driving force, they'd be theologically consistent. They never are. Worshipping trump while explaining how god promised them the oilfields.

In fact: the later is needed for a two-state solution to work just as well.

There is not going to be any semblance of peace without nethamjahu being brought to trial for his hunger-genocide, the systematic torture and rape in his concentration camps, the state-sanctioned piracy etc. etc.

Indeed for a one state solution to work, it has to not be a colonial apartheid state led by genocidal ethnonationalists.

It would require uprooting the deeply rooted ethnonationalism.

And what nethanjahu wants would be irrelevant, he and his crew would be locked up in the Hague I'd they're lucky.

An ideal situation would be a one state solution with equal rights for everyone, but two-state with safety guarantees from external powers would be more short term feasible.

Again: take learning from the Balkans.

By releasing the Palestinian hostages to begin with. By bringing war criminals to justice, dismantling the power structures that made it come this far. At least acknowledge the 1967 borders, but preferably more, and pay reparations to rebuild Palestine.

Perhaps take learning from the Balkans.

You claim that attributing power to AIPAC is biased, yet you speak of Hamas as if it is Hamas that orders the IDF around.

Nethanjahu ordered genocide, he even brought suitcases of cash to Hamas so that it would be them and not the "too peaceful" plo that he could use as excuse.
