The crews wowed the kids at Family Christian Academy with their gear, tools, and even a water bottle-cutting demo using the jaws! Fun aside, the real takeaway is safety: two ways out of every room and knowing what to do when smoke alarms sound. Have you practiced that at home? #SGFDproud

Don’t toss lithium-ion batteries or devices in the trash or regular recycling bins—they can start a fire. Drop them off at a legit battery recycling spot —it’s safer and way better for the planet. Visit call2recycle.org to find a drop-off location near you.
Charging something big- like an e-bike, scooter, or power tool with a lithium-ion battery? Charge it outside on a flat, dry surface away from sunlight, water, kids, and tripping hazards. Keep it stable, and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions! #fpw#sgfdproud

Before you buy anything with a lithium-ion battery, do your homework 🔋🔥 Look for a mark from a nationally recognized testing lab — that stamp means it meets real safety standards. Many products sold online don’t, and that can seriously increase your fire risk. #FPW#SGFDproud
THIS IS A BIG ONE!! Charge any lithium-ion battery device on a hard surface—never on your bed, couch, or under a pillow. And don’t overcharge. Once it’s at 100%, unplug and move on. Charge Into Fire Safety for Fire Prevention Week. #firepreventionweek#sparky#firesafety#batterysafety#SGFDproud
