Seen today on my commute through Central Park: a yellow-bellied sapsucker (chupasavia norreño) having a berry breakfast... I didn't know they like berries too! #birds 🪶

This is a real image of a real thing that exists in the universe! And because a bunch of humans decided to get together and build a space telescope, we get to see it! 🤯

The #insects here at @casabentbill.bsky.social continue to amaze me. Nearly every day, I find some new, bizarre species. This is a weevil in the genus Siron, which I know nothing about. So I'd love to hear from any #bugsky weevil experts!

Imagine everytime you ask for academic feedback on academic matters to your mentor, he convinces himself you are actually asking for sex and it's appropriate to "play hard to get" by not actually giving feedback.
Welcome to "academia while female"
Not to mention this exchange between the two charmers

Enjoy this little demon, #Bugsky

At first I thought this was just a small fly, but when I got my macro on it I found this alien creature. I think it's in the genus Poppea, a type of treehopper. Found at @casabentbill.bsky.social #CostaRica #nature #insects
