Begynner å bli lut lei tbanen. Det kommer null informasjon. Vi bare står og venter. Appen sier det ikke har vært avganger i en halvtime. Dette koster samfunnet enormt. Ikke bare økonomisk - men stemning og godvilje.

At the start of advent I always bring down our collection of Christmas music - put away for the rest of the year! First out is a big favourite «Julero» by Norwegian vocal ensemble Pust (breath). There has been a tiny layer snow but it is dripping away with drip, drip, drip noises outside. 2025-11-30

An astonishing evening with Gåte and Koret Artemis in Jakobskirke this evening! That Gunnhild Sundli’s voice is powerful is never in doubt - but how beautiful it is can be lost in the decibels. But not this evening - this was quite magnificent! Oslo 2025-11-29

Old Norwegian saying: «Leave work before the sun goes down - and climb to higher ground if it has already disappeared behind a building.»
Best I could do. Meetings should end when a nice sunset happens.

Getting many new follows from accounts that look like real people but that I don’t quite believe. It’s unsettling. Discrimination is getting more difficult.

Not a huge Ed Sheeran fan but we’re watching «One Shot» in New York and it’s pure joy! (And I really appreciate what he’s doing for music education in the UK!)

And it was Friday once again! Going to have to do quite a bit of work this weekend but such is life. It’s still Friday! Wishing you all a wonderful, peaceful, safe, and happy weekend! Be kind!

Carmina Burana in Oslo Konserthus 2025-11-21. The first time I have heard it in the concert hall without being in the choir myself! (And I managed to refrain from singing along :-) …)

Oslo is covered with a thin layers of snow. Not enough for a winter wonderland but enough to make pavements slippery. Nydalen, Oslo

Friday again and (after a short break) homemade pizza again! To prove that I’m not a boring middle-aged Dad, I made it while listening to a Keane CD with the volume turned up a wee bit. Wishing you all a wonderful, peaceful, safe, and happy weekend! Be kind!

Absolutely phenomenal concert with the Unni Wilhelmsen Trio live at John Dee, Oslo. 2025-11-13 Great voice, great band, and a very entertaining and genuine performer. She will be doing a bigger show 24. October 2026 - highly recommended!

'It sounded kind of crazy': How ripples in the high atmosphere warned scientists of a tsunami in real time
Tsunamis are notoriously difficult to spot on the open ocean as they race towards shore. But in the summer of 2025, scientists watched one unfold as it happened.

Level 42 live in Oslo 2025-11-09. That was incredible! Would have been worth the price of the ticket for the bass guitar alone. I could have seen them back in the 80s when it would have been cool, but better late than never:) I’ve seen some *legendary* bass players but MK is just something else!
