I started working in tech at a very young age (21 years old). My Hacker News account is from 2011, so I've been around a long time.
Am I the only one that just doesn't like hackernews anymore? It just seems like a bunch of old grumpy tech workers.

When I watched the Terminator movies before. I used to think "Skynet"!? What a horrible name. Who would name an AI tool so badly? Well, turned out that was more realistic than I first thought.

I know it sounds dumb, but I truly want to put joyous things out into the world.
Maybe my latest ship wasn't a huge success like I hoped. But at least a lot of people tried it out and really enjoyed using it. It was super cool to see kids using it and really liking it.

How did I build Turkey Hands? I use the Google model MediaPipe for detecting hands. It's magic and I couldn't have made this without Google's models! It's a super small model that runs in the browser and in real-time! Nothing needs to leave the device.
