Dives in non-conductive water (i.e. purified water, like distilled or maybe r.o. water) might be indicative. (But no one's going to fund or allow that study)
stevemanfred.bsky.social
hm. That seems to indicate these seizures aren't coming from the brain. Must be the O2's effect on the nervous system more generally, I'd think.
They have looked into "electrical" causes for this difference, yes? Air is not a great conductor, but water usually is.
stevemanfred.bsky.social
oh! one more thing. On the "we don't care about O2 deco" front... have you heard about "technical freediving"? There's one area where maybe it could matter?
stevemanfred.bsky.social
Keep being dive-nerdy! The more "shop" talk, the better!
Like, the best bit of this was when you went further into that puzzling difference between dry and wet O2 toxicity. It's breaking my physics brain trying to work out the why of that.

Yes! I just listened. I'd emailed them the same time I msged you and Brando hinted this was coming.
This was exactly the sort of podcast I was hoping you'd do. You're excellent at them. Please feel free to do more! And not just about the books; your own dive stories and your own research too!

@underwaterlance.bsky.social you should listen to the latest episode of The Great Dive Podcast (Oxygen 7) as they move into your Chamber Divers area but don’t seem to have read or know about your book.

They could line them up onstage like it’s the Bachelor only instead of giving the winner a rose they get a 16mm film can.

3 of the invited guests at this year’s Chicago TARDIS are Carole Ann Ford, Peter Purves, and Frazer Hines.

If there are some missing episodes about to be recovered, there’s an 88.5% chance that each would Star one of them.

REGISTERED CHARITY

Film is Fabulous! is now a registered charity. We urgently need ‘your’ support, to continue preserving vulnerable film treasures held privately in the U.K.:

From the Film Is Fabulous Facebook page:
Facebook comment from Film is Fabulous to Justyn Adderley: "Thanks. As mentioned by Sue Malden at our RECOVERED event in May, we are aware of several missing episodes of Doctor Who (Sue stated one of two, but there are more than this) in private film collections in the U.K. We are liaising with the individuals about cataloguing and preserving their entire collection, including the missing Doctor Who episodes, and ensuring that copies are returned to the BBC. We expect to make a detailed announcement shortly."

1) Paul, how could you miss the "Watson, come here, I need you" gag they did in Way Out? You've done that one yourself!
2) Given "Bewitched" episodes are only 25 minutes sans commercials, you could cover both this and an UNCLE and have the same total length you had in this month's show.

When I’d get Covid vaccines in previous years they’d usually really tire me out for the rest of the day, but this time around nothing happened. (Yesterday, btw). Anyone else similar?

Very sorry to hear of the death of Christopher H. Bidmead, who meant so much to Doctor Who fans of my generation. Science as the most important thing, numbers as magic, fiction that happens because of science. It should be cold, but it’s full of new life. What a big contribution.

I’m sure the Botez sisters will have her on their channel at some point

I’ve always quite liked it too.

and then the lyrics to Roan's "Picture You" inspire an amateur sleuth to see that an accused murderer at the museum was framed... @lynnemthomas.com

(seems a little crass of me to say this, but here goes…) she does say in this interview that she would like to direct a film someday…ahem.

If there are further problems, there is actually an Amtrak train that runs all the way from Seattle to Chicago Union Station. Just sayin'.

What did the chair umpire say when she divorced another chair umpire?

“New balls, please.”
