Submitting to lit mags for the first time since 2023--a whole 9 months of pregnancy and 13 months of focusing almost exclusively on my daughter in between! In shock I didn’t have to reset my Duotrope password.

Thinking about when I used to say “Soder” as a kid instead of “Soda.” My cousins would get soo mad & correct me, but then I’d see my grandma, who was def more of an authority than my cousins, & she’d say “Steph want some soder?” in her Bronx accent & the confusion would start all over again.

Does our moon have a name? Or is it just named Moon? Poor thing. Like a baby being named Baby.

Being from the Northeast, school starting in August over here weirds me out so much. It's still high summer. Pools, not schools! Not until after Labor Day.

It’s time for my yearly browse through Anthropologie Home, where I pin dozens of items to my Pinterest board and then imagine them in my house for a year. Saves a lot of money.

Received a compliment from at a cafe on my Fleetwood Mac shirt that I found—inexplicably—at an Abercrombie & Fitch outlet.
