Some of these google street view photos of post offices aren’t great - poorly framed, blocked by cars. Some don’t even include a building.

But every once in awhile you get a truly wonderful shot.

I will admit that IG has successfully hooked me on stories…but I (mostly) choose which ones to follow. On principle I try not to click on or start following “suggested” stories (though they do occasionally get me).

I never jumped over to TikTok because it felt random & disconnected fr actual people (though lots of folks obv enjoy it!) I also prefer to listen to podcasts/read articles vs watch videos. The morphing of social media to taking over our lives is fascinating (if you ignore how terrible it is).

Yeah. The clips I’ve seen are pretty bonkers. Discrimination against gay people isn’t discrimination & thinking she had a gotcha moment re: solar & wind energy because the sun isn’t always out? Yikes.

When weighing the harms of wishing ill on a political opponent (which FTR is NOT good) w/ the actual harm Miyares’ policies & actions have on trans folks & immigrants it becomes more complicated. Sometimes we have to wrestle with the messy reality of how things are rather than how we wish they were.

Luca, I wish this was true & it could be that black & white. And I wish our politics wasn’t where it is today. But as the mom of a trans kid who’s right to live their life is threatened by Miyares’ policies & as someone who believes Trump is truly a threat to our democracy it’s just not that simple.
