Lastly, to end on a silly note: my brand of humor is playing something very straight, then pull the rug out from beneath you. Hastily scribbled joke comics are funny, but fully rendered ones that clearly took time just for a dinky joke? hysterical imo

i hastily scribbled this nonsense at 2am

A VERY roughly/hastily pencil-sketched 5-panel comic featuring Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader's Heinrix van Calox and my custom Lord Captain, Letizia Lutgardis von Valancius.
They're kissing intimately, about to get it down. Heinrix pulls his shirt off, but when it's fully removed, Letizia looks at him in shock. Cue a close-up Heinrix's face resembling Handsome Squidward. The last panel is a cut to reality, where Letizia gasps in terror as she lurches upright in bed from the nightmare. Heinrix (looking like his normal self), is sleeping blissfully unaware beside her.

I guess why it’s easier for me to draw something more charged than what I’m willing to engage in is bc there’s that fictitious divide (I do have my limits tho. Fully nsfw stuff is a No). I’m ace but these characters ain’t, so as the artist, I’m like a weirdo cheering them on from the sidelines

Personally, I’m sex-repulsed (don’t want it + never felt that desire), but I never considered myself aromantic (I feel like I’ve had crushes before); I always found the notion of cuddling and kissing to still be very sweet expressions of romance, not inherently something that will lead to sex.

That’s a very valid question. I’m open to answering, but do keep in mind that even I’m not entirely sure how to explain it lol. Asexuality is a spectrum, w/ some folks being completely sex and/or romance-repulsed and everything around it and in between.

tysm! I don't typically draw stuff like this but this game made me discover an in-game romance that hits you so hard, it compels you to draw the Yearning™😳
I used to be a bit indifferent to in-game romances but this sweet tragic man motivated me to learn how to draw people interacting closely better

I'm shameless about my Telvanni bias (so it's my fav lol), but I adore all the patternwork on the other two outfits~
Kirch's 'signature' outfit color in my head is blue, but he rocks warm colors nicely too, like a tall candle of an elf lol 🕯️

Finally got around to making a face reference for my custom Lord Captain, Letizia. Like all my other face refs, she looks cursed without hair lol

An illustrated face reference (front, 3/4, and side view) of Letizia Lutgardis von Valancius, my custom protagonist for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. She is a pale human voidborn woman with jet-black hair (although she's depicted as bald here for the sake of the reference) and a few minor augments on her head. A prominent Lichtenberg/lightning scar is along the left side of her body, stopping at the underside of her jaw.
There are three variations of the reference: no makeup, makeup, and a post-Act 3 scarred light makeup version.

I like to give the benefit of the doubt, so maybe that could be it?

It kinda reminds me of those “I don’t go here but…” tags I see sometime. However, at least with those, there’s an air of neutrality (via unfamiliarity/no association) to the relevant fandom.
