I would love to keep writing and doing educational research, but there is no reason. My last 13 years didn't count for anything and no one reads what I did write. I miss writing. I miss thinking. But alas, I wasn't worth my passion.

I've started playing piano- something I've wanted to do since a child, but never could do.
I'm still a beginner, and still playing beginner versions. That said, I have found such joy in the Mary Poppins simplified score. The music is timeless and the songs are just enjoyable to learn.

For All Saints Day, I pulled out the last family video of my dad from 1999. My girls never saw/heard him before. My husband never knew dad pre-cancer and only knew him about 1 year.
I had forgotten so much of Dad and that was something my heart needed.

I have had 6 people send me the advertisement for the job I left in Illinois with a message "please come back."
I didn't leave on my own terms. I was pushed out, banished to asynchronous online teaching outside of my skill. Left shattered with no help putting what was left of me back together. 💔😭

Spotify is running ICE ads. I went to cancel on mobile and saw that this isn’t allowed on mobile. They make you cancel on desktop. You think that’s gonna stop me, Spotify? I will erase you and forget you ever existed.

Every person I know has an "escape" or "handle" the emergency situation that is both rational and irrational.
Most of these plans are life-saving-- how to escape a car in water, fight an intruder, save a pet from an alligator, etc.
I know what song I will use for karaoke if ever dragged on stage.
