Van Rossem's opinion is nice. But not now! He didn't have any progressive insight by saying that "Russia wouldn't attack Ukraine." We shouldn't be naive! No, we won't see Russian tanks in the Netherlands anytime soon, but that doesn't mean Russia will never attack NATO!
