i love playing Tekken and being Doryaman
Curtis Sliwa comes across as a genuinely fucking weird guy. you don't really see this specific thing much anymore, or at least it's overshadowed by more extreme stuff
rip rust, no scalable vector support. maybe i'll actually write C++ for once in ~1 trillion years
guess what im doing
if you write a computer program i immediately lose all respect for you
wow, this guy is 50? i can't believe it, he looks freakin' over 9000!! *posts a picture of the most 50yo-looking man to ever live*
wish i could have swung by but just wasn’t feeling well. next time!

added a WebUSB platform device capability descriptor to #GlasgowInterfaceExplorer so now it pops up a prompt like this if you plug it in and Chrome is running
I think for this build I want to do SSDs; how loud are spinning disks these days? not only that but obviously the iops-per-GB-provisioned-storage will be much better, but noise is my main concern
so, what's the down low on good large capacity SATA solid states these days? i need like 6x multi-TB drives for a new nas. 16TB is still probably too pricey but i'm interested in general options
hey it seems you wrote something using a small bit of rhetoric in the title. i just wanted to tell you this isn't lost on me, right before i take it literally and start complaining,

Reddit fucked up the internet a lot but vote systems are one of the more insidious outcomes. for computer nerds it's like catnip because it lets dullards play out fake Foucault vs Chomsky fantasies in their mind while others clap like seals because it fits an idea of Liberal Western Intellectualism

computer programming is an annoying topic to discuss online in general but one thing i dislike most about vote-based forum systems is that they are rife with this idea "not learning anything about something" is actually a display of pious wisdom and not a form of insane, literal gaslighting

the entire article could be reduced to "heat transfer/thermal radiation doesn't really work that well in space" and thus we could conclude it's basically a bullshit premise from the start. but i assume this would not be good journalism, for reasons beyond me
this article is interesting because it spends most of the second half explaining why the headline isn't possible, yet it just sort of treats this as a little fun factoid rather than a clear example of the way tech CEOs just make shit up and lie about it? www.tomshardware.com/tech-industr...
Jeff Bezos envisions space-based data centers in 10 to 20 years — could allow for natural cooling and more effective solar power
But at what cost?

the only tv i think i’ve ever purchased with my own money (i don’t usually watch tv) and it was really nice and broke instantly. lol
and then i come back home and my new stupidass tv was stuck in a bricked boot loop. you can’t win them all
jjcon was fucking lit, git merge was fun, and i got to work with my team. it was a good week
my opinion on Typst: it’s good, but I still yearn for the true power of a Pollen-like lisp-based tool for writing papers and publishing them in various forms
