// his death was so rushed like damn at least give the character a good exit like he deserves 💔
Unfortunately, I’m a little picky. But if there’s nothing I like then I’ll just take whatever’s available, as long as it works.
Just finished my first coffee of the day, I couldn’t be more ready for work.
Almost burnt my kitchen trying to make pasta. This is why I DoorDash.
Emily watches him for a moment, then nods once, calm and steady.

“That’s fair. You do your job, we’ll do ours.”

She lets a beat pass before adding, matter-of-fact but with the faintest trace of dry humor:

“Luckily for you, I happen to be very good at mine.”
My headache and stomach ache are hosting a ‘let’s ruin Prentiss day’ party, and I was not invited.
“Well, when you’re the new person in a place like this, it tends to happen.” She replies, leaning slightly against the desk.

“But don’t worry, it’s nothing you need to lose sleep over. Just curiosity. New face, new energy . . . people notice. You get used to it. Eventually, they stop watching.”
“Agent Prentiss,” she corrects lightly, a small smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth. “I usually go by that around here.”

There’s a brief pause before she speaks again.

“Honestly? No agenda. Just thought it was time I met the new ADA everyone’s been talking about.
“It’s definitely not a BAU case either. There’s no profile to build, no pattern to follow, nothing for us to work from. But if that changes, I’m here to help.”
Emily listens without interrupting, her expression unreadable but attentive. When he finishes, she gives a small nod.

“You’re right. It’s not enough — not for trial, not for a conviction. You’re making the right call, even if it doesn’t sit well.”

She pauses, her gaze steady on him.
details the cops might have missed.”

She meets his gaze, calm and purposeful.

“Our tech analyst is brilliant with that kind of data. If you want, she could take a look, might give you something to help with your decision.”
“Well, I hope what you’ve heard wasn’t all about the chaos.” Her tone is light but sincere.

She shifts back to the case, her expression becoming more focused.

“If there’s not enough to prove she’s dead, maybe it’s worth looking at the circumstances surrounding her disappearance — any small
“Pleasure to meet you, ADA Price. I hope the things you’ve heard are the good kind.”

She follows his glance to the stack of papers, then tilts her head slightly.

“No-body case, huh? That’s a hard sell even with solid circumstantial evidence. Can’t blame you for being cautious.”
Emily steps into the unit, stopping when she notices the new guy at his desk and the exhaustion on his face.

“Looks like you’re already in the deep end.” Her tone is calm.

“Sorry — I’m Prentiss.” She adds, getting closer and extending her hand. “Haven’t had the chance to introduce myself yet.”
Then we’re officially in negotiations. What’s your price? I’ve got clearance and a killer headache.
What an offer to make. I do have an aspirin.
I’d trade state secrets for an aspirin right now.
I did exactly that, but unfortunately the pain hasn’t improved yet.
